ADIFAD attracts students from all schools of Design, to participate in the “ADI Medal” design prize, with their academic work.

ADIFAD has been organizing the “ADI Medal” design prize since 1976 which is open to the participation of all students in their final year of industrial design, presenting a selection of their projects. This contest is sponsored by different institutions and agencies in every competition.

The intention of this competition is to encourage and to give recognition to the quality of the student’s work from all schools of design. Awarding the medals does not only consider aspects of the work itself but also makes mention of those that have a documental, conceptual, formal or a special creative interest.

The jury participants is made public in advance and is made up of a member from the ADI FAD board together with qualified national and international professionals from the world of design.

In this competition the jury will consist of:
– Carlos Ferrater. President of ADI FAD and Professor of Projects at the School of Architecture, Barcelona.- Miquel Milà. Industrial designer.
– Josep M. Montaner. Architect. Professor of Theory and History at the School of Architecture, Barcelona.
– Pete Sans. Industrial designer.
– Aldo Sessano. Industrial designer.

Opening and Awards Ceremony on 4 June at 8 pm.The event will be held on the first floor terrace at 9 pm.
