The PURINA FOUNDATION is a private and non-profit making organization created to promote and disseminate the social role of companion animals. The Purina Foundation was established before a notary on December 11th 1987, at the request of its promoter, GALLINA BLANCA PURINA, S.A.

The overall goal of the Purina Foundation is to promote public recognition of the social role companion animals play, and its importance in the structure of relationships in Spanish society.

The Purina Foundation wants to bring society near to the facts of these animals that keep you company, through information and education. Raising awareness of the extraordinary social, psychological, functional and educational value of companion animals, as thousands of Spanish families have already proven, and the respect for the right of life are some of the main objectives that form part of the ideology of the foundation.

The message “He/she never would” became a classic which since then is often seen in newspapers and magazines.
