V.I.A.

08/04/87. (Sala 087)

Company created in France to promote the design of their country.

VIA was created in Paris in 1979. Surrounded by a dynamic team and relying on professionalism, VIA has since then maintained its objectives: to enhance the value of creative furniture and, consequently, to enhance the image of the French furniture industry throughout the world.

500 products grouped under the Via label have been presented at major trade shows and invited to international department stores, including Bloomingdale’s in New York, Seibu in Tokyo, Harrods in London, Artek in Helsinki, Illum Bolighus in Copenhagen, etc., and now at Vinçon in Barcelona.

VIA also promotes design through its “Cartes Blanches” (4 annual scholarships offered to design professionals), has a program to help schools, publishes books for informative purposes, promoted the first Video-Catalog for the sale of furniture, has a Show-room, which welcomes international buyers, and opened in December 1986 the VIA Gallery where multidisciplinary exhibitions (furniture, lighting, sculpture, painting, etc.) are held.

In La Sala Vinçon we present the latest furniture by the following designers: M. Szekely, M. Morita, Ch. Duc, P. Mourgue, J.L. Godivier, X. Pauchard, C. Noury, E. Garouste and M. Bonetti, and Ara Starck*.
