28/01/81. (Sala 065)

From 28 January – 14 February 1981

“The bullfight is structured in several stages called Suertes, the last one is LA SUERTE DE MATAR where the matador finishes his Faena.

The bull has the possibility of killing the matador, in this Liturgy enters the SUERTE DE MATAR.

It is a double meaning that makes this show a Tragedy”, explains Fernando Salas.

La Sala exhibits documentation on the wounds caused by bull horn and analysis of the supreme luck, surgical furniture donated by the Hospital Clínic, surgeon’s costumes, the costume of a bullfighter from Zaragoza and, emerging from a black curtain, the bull walking on sand.

This original exhibition is a technical investigation that includes the use of mannequins, slides and objects related to the bullfighting festival.
