“Advanced sculptures in the new post-baroque style”.

Javier Mariscal’s exhibition is called “Advanced sculptures in the new post-baroque style”, and in it are exhibited from roosters to coffee pots, through fireplaces, dogs, armchairs, ladies, cups, clocks, lions or doors: all presented in a more or less figurative style crossed by baroque, cubist, art-deco, modernist and even Egyptian influences.

They are sculptures worked in rigid polyurethane, polyester and lacquers that give them a bronze-colored finish.

“I have limited myself to sculpting spontaneously, fishing for shapes and lines from my bad artistic memory,” says Mariscal.
