Maniquís

Xavier Olivé.

01/02/1976. (Sala 045b)

An action of Xavier Olivé in the shop windows of Vinçon in Paseo de Gracia in Barcelona.

One evening in February, without warning, from 8 to 9 pm, two mannequins, one male and one female, posed for an hour motionless and with their eyes closed.

After a long process of make-up, a mask applied with a brush on the face and hands was completely rigid after a while and helped the immobility.

When they finally come to life, grimacing, the face mask cracks and then they tear it off with their hands.
