German painter and illustrator, master of subtle and funny art<\/i>, he became famous for his surreal and surprising paintings, although he has also ventured into the area of art direction for films such as Wallace & Gromit, the curse of vegetables<\/i>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

His work, of surrealist character, shows us worlds in which the main characters are animals; often endowed with a black humor, always with a dreamlike and charming air. Simply brilliant.<\/p>\n

He usually paints in acrylic on board, in small sizes.<\/p>\n

It is not easy to forget Sowa’s paintings in the French film The Fabulous Fate of Am\u00e9lie Poulain<\/i>, that magical scene in which a lamp in the shape of a pig and the animals in two paintings adorning the walls talk about Am\u00e9lie’s falling in love.<\/p>\n
