Objectes errats<\/p>\n
David Bestu\u00e9 and Marc Monz\u00f3, conceptual artist and jeweler respectively, present their work which is the result of a shared fascination for the world of objects. After months of reflection on their respective professions, both creators decided to enter a new world: they approached areas such as pottery, carpentry, iron, alabaster and glass. After this experience they developed a dialogue about their abilities and disabilities concerning each material as well as the limits of their own imaginary.<\/p>\n
The result is a series of objects that intertwine both form and sense on the basis of subject knowledge. Although Bestu\u00e9 and Monz\u00f3\u2019s approximation towards these trades is recent they are far from amateurism.<\/p>\n
La Sala Vin\u00e7on presents the result of the investigation as a domestic space and not a facility, with a series of furniture pieces and prepared utensils, all set to be lived in and handed over to other hands.<\/p>\n
David Bestu\u00e9 (Barcelona, 1980) is an artist. Bachelor of Fine Arts, he has carried out the following exhibitions: \u201cAproximaci\u00f3n parcial al trabajo de un arquitecto\u201d at the Montcada hall at la Caixa, Barcelona (2005), \u201cHistoria de la espuma\u201d, at Sa Nostra de Palma de Mallorca cultural centre (2007) and the \u201cFormalismo puro\u201d project through Marcelino Bot\u00edn (2009) arts scholarships,. He has published the \u201cEnric Miralles a izquierda y derecha (tambi\u00e9n sin gafas)\u201d (2010) book and \u201cFormalismo Puro\u201d (2011), published by Tenov.<\/p>\n
Marc Monz\u00f3 (Barcelona 1973) studied jewelry design at the Massana School in Barcelona. Since 1997 he has worked in his own studio developing and designing projects for other brands. Marc Monz\u00f3 has presented his works in galleries and museums in Europe, U.S.A, Japan\u2026 His work is represented in the collections of the Museo de Artes Decorativas (Museum of Decorative Arts) in Barcelona, in the Stedelijk Museum\u2019s-Hertogenbosh and Fran\u00e7oise Van Den Bosch Foundation collections, both in the Netherlands. His jewelry has been published in books such as Marc Monz\u00f3, New Directions in Jewellery 2, Jewelry Design, Adorn and Inner Luxury.<\/p>\n
