(Sala 165)<\/h3>\n<p>Julian Schnabel admired the space of La Sala Vin\u00e7on and on his visits to Barcelona he commented that he would like to intervene in it.<\/p>\n<p>The occasion arose when in 1995, during the assembly of his exhibition at the Fundaci\u00f3 Mir\u00f3, he realized that one of the large 6 x 4 meter pieces could not be exhibited due to lack of space. It was then that he contacted Fernando Amat, who gladly gave him the space for this single painting.<\/p>\n<p>The untitled work belongs to the collection of pieces painted in Florida on ship&#8217;s canvas, sewn together.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll paintings, in fact, are metaphoric. It reminds you of something that you might have seen, a key to your imagination. To those who think painting is just about itself, I\u2019m saying the exact opposite. The concreteness of a painting can\u2019t help but allude to a world of associations that may have a completely other face than that of the image you are looking at.
