The Ya Ya Ho series is very likely to be the most interesting lamp collection designed in many years.<\/p>\n
Ingo Maurer is almost certainly the designer who best combines high-tech with high-sensitivity.<\/p>\n
INGO MAURER, one of the world’s leading lighting designers, is presenting his YA YA HO system at La Sala Vin\u00e7on.<\/p>\n
After working in several countries he finally settled in Munich, where he founded his own company, which has been producing his lamp designs ever since.<\/p>\n
The Ya Ya Ho system consists of a low-voltage halogen light guide (12 volts) where various accessories can be attached to meet different lighting needs: living room, dining room, bedroom, ambient lighting… A complete lighting system, typical of office environments, intended this time for the domestic space. Maurer’s designs do not look like those of a professional in the field, they are more in keeping with a personal, almost magical aesthetic. His lamps, always surprising, have sometimes been described as sculptures or poems of light, given their strong artistic content and spectacular effects.<\/p>\n
We did not manage to recognize the 57 attendees photographed by Ramon Cort\u00e9s at the opening of Ingo Maurer’s exhibition, but we did recognize a few:<\/p>\n
